CLIMATE CHANGE TOOLKIT STUDENT AMBASSADORS GRADUATE!

Oceanit hosted a graduation ceremony for the Climate Change Toolkit Student Ambassadors last Saturday, celebrating their completion of the 6-month program focused on coastal erosion awareness and hands-on experience in environmental assessment for future beach restoration at Paia Mantokuji Temple.

Oceanit has been working with the Mantokuji Mission Board of Directors at the Paia Mantokuji temple to devise a solution for the bay’s eroding beach and collapsing coastal bluffs.

Oceanit’s SURF (Social Utilization of Resources for the Future) Team is spearheading a multi-week internship for Hawaii high school students and recent graduates that aims to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make Oahu’s roads safer for pedestrians and more resilient for vehicles.
